The Institute for Learning Innovation (ILI) is the competence center for digital education of the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) and as a research institute part of the Faculty of Philosophy. An interdisciplinary team of around 30 scientists from the humanities and technology sciences research and develop on the subject of digital, media-supported learning across the entire lifespan, from schoolchildren to senior citizens. In a large network of European and national partners, ILI realizes relevant projects and offers services, advice and know-how transfer.
STIMMULI is a a non-profit organisation working on projects focused on social impact envisioning to inspire future education and ignite positive change in society. To achieve our mission, we design and deliver educational and empowerment projects that cultivate changemaking attitudes, inject entrepreneurial thinking and nudge behavioural shifts for more sustainable lifestyles. STIMMULI bears extensive experience in different fields of activity, including that of Social Innovation Education, Entrepreneurship Education, Active Citizenship Education and Inclusive Education and sustainable development whereby new approaches and effective practices and tools are being developed and designed. Our work aims at harnessing the power of collaboration between universities, nonprofits, social enterprises, businesses and governments, to address pressing societal challenges more effectively and on a wider scale.
Center for Social Innovation (CSI) is a Research and Development organization, which focuses on fostering social innovation that can bring about a positive change to local, national, regional, and global entities. These entities include but are not limited to governments, local administrative agencies, non-for-profit agencies, commercial entities, and educational institutions. The CSI team is composed of open-minded, fully equipped researchers, entrepreneurs, project managers, trainers, and Information Technology specialists. CSI encompasses the capability and capacity to identify social needs, design and implement adjusted initiatives, and provide for sustainable growth. The CSI team's areas of expertise are in the fields of traditional education and e-learning, entrepreneurship, start-ups, innovation, creativity, negotiations, IP advisory services, social responsibility, business advisory solutions, data analytics, information technologies, project management, project evaluation services, product validation, training and computer gaming. CSI draws know-how and skills from its wide global network, which includes academic institutions, IT companies, public services, international organizations, start-ups, and public services.
The University of Cyprus was established in 1989 and admitted its first students in 1992. It was founded in response to the growing intellectual needs of the Cypriot people, and is well placed to fulfil the numerous aspirations of the country. The University is a vigorous community of scholars engaged in the generation and diffusion of knowledge. Despite its brief history, the University of Cyprus has earned the respect of the international academic community and the appreciation of Cypriot society. University of Cyprus aims to establish itself as a Pioneer Research Institution achieving International Scientific Recognition in European Higher Education, offering Competitive Programmes and to become a Centre of Excellence in the wider Euro - Mediterranean Region. The main objectives of the University are twofold: the promotion of scholarship and education through teaching and research, and the enhancement of the cultural, social and economic development of Cyprus. Department of social and political sciences The Department of Social and Political Sciences SPS in one of the largest university departments in Cyprus with about 400 undergraduate, 50 graduate, and 12 doctoral students. It offers academic programs in the three distinct fields of Sociology, Political Science and Journalism. The SPS is a dynamic and creative academic community of 16 faculty members, 15 adjunct lecturers and a number of research associates. More specifically, the Department: • Runs three popular undergraduate programs in Political Science (since 1996), Sociology (since 1997) and Journalism (since 2012); an MA program in Political Science (since 2012) and two PhD programs in Political Science and Sociology (since 1999). • Runs a Departmental Internship Program, offering the opportunity to undergraduate and graduate students to gain practical training in important public and private organizations. • Runs one of the largest Erasmus university programs sending and hosting dozens of students through a well-established network of more than 50 universities. • Participates in inter-university European programs and organizes an international summer school • Has an internationalized faculty that undertakes and publishes high-quality research and serves in the editorial boards and editorial teams of well-known international journals. • Has faculty members who are actively involved in social outreach activities in Cyprus; policy-making in various national and international bodies; and offers expertise in various fora.
The Faculty of Economics & Business, University of Zagreb was founded in 1920; hence, it represents the oldest institution of higher education in economics and business in the Republic of Croatia, but also in wider international context. The Faculty of Economics & Business Zagreb is one of 31 constituents of the University of Zagreb, founded in 1669, which position it in the group of the oldest universities in Europe. Based on the results of its economic, social and political activities, the number of current students and members of its Alumni society, awarded international accreditations, the Faculty of Economics and Business Zagreb is recognized as leading and largest institution of economic and business education in the Republic of Croatia, and the wider region. The Faculty of Economics & Business Zagreb provides study programs at all levels: both undergraduate and graduate, as well as postgraduate and doctoral levels.
